Q195 is actually our common low-carbon structural steel, which is found in GB/T 700. Its strength is not high, but its toughness is good, and it is easy to process and shape. The key is its low price, so it is especially suitable for those projects that do not require high strength and pay more attention to processability and cost.

Many people will compare Q195 with low carbon steel such as ASTM A36 or SAE 1008/1010, but to be honest, they are not completely equivalent materials, and their properties are similar, but they cannot be directly equated. Customers buy Q195 steel plate, which is usually used for bending, stamping, or making some light structural parts with little stress, and it is not needed in the real load-bearing place.
